There are a range of educational resources available to employees at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH). You can find some of these listed below.

Library services

NUH Library Services can help you find the information you need for work, research, study or professional development. Membership is open to all NUH staff, students on placement within the Trust, and GP trainees. To join the library email library@nuh.nhs.uk

  • Access to study space including laptops and NUH PCs
  • Over 5000 healthcare-related books
  • Large digital collection of EBooks, journals, clinical support tools and databases
  • Literature Searching Service for work related research
  • Information skills training and online tutorials

ESR e-learning

ESR (Employee Staff Record) is a national NHS system which NHS organisations use to record their employees staff record when they start their NHS journey, right up until retirement.

OLM is the Learning Management part of the ESR system which enables staff to complete learning modules.

To access the e-learning system, you will need to log-in to your account on the ESR portal which can be found on the NUH desktop and intranet.

NHS Leadership Academy

The NHS Leadership Academy learning hub hosts a range of short learning solutions designed by experts for the development of NHS staff of all levels to work though at their own pace. The hub offers bite-size learning courses, videos, articles and podcasts.

HEE eLearning for healthcare hub

The HEE elearning programmes are developed in partnership with the NHS, 3rd sector and professional bodies and can be accessed for free, 24/7 by healthcare professionals.
